The ConstructionJobs.com Scholarship for Students in Construction
Special Announcement

From fall 2005 through the fall semester of 2008 ConstructionJobs.com and Kimmel & Associates have awarded the Scholarship for Students in Construction to 324 students at 100 colleges and universities in 38 states across the United States.

No one is more acutely aware than ConstructionJobs.com that the future of the construction industry depends on increasing the numbers of new skilled tradespersons and construction professionals entering the field. Arguably, no privately held corporation of its size has done more to achieve this goal, as evidenced by these scholarships and by a $6.92 million gift to Western Carolina University’s Joe W. Kimmel School of Construction Management, Engineering and Technology.

In these current troubled times, no sector has escaped the effects of the economic downturn. Construction companies, their suppliers and service providers have been especially hard hit; our company has no immunity from these effects.

Although our resolve to provide and enhance opportunities for future generations of construction professionals is unchanged, for the foreseeable future, there will be a freeze on scholarships. (All outstanding awards for the fall 2008 semester will be honored.) Please check our website from time to time to see if we have been able to resume the scholarship program.
