Title: Superintendent / Project Manager

We maintain offices Texas and Florida to serve the needs of our clients while pursuing an aggressive growth strategy. Our commercial division has an immediate need for qualified Project Managers and Superintendents.

Job Purpose:

Complete various commercial construction projects by planning, organizing, and controlling the work; completing quality inspections; supervising trade contractors and company personnel; ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Duties:

• Prepare construction schedules and communicate regular updates to all affected parties; schedule and coordinate company personnel and trade contractors; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions.
• Manage project buyout by locating, evaluating, and selecting trade contractors; monitoring and controlling performance.
• Identify and resolve problems, especially those that may affect the cost, quality, or final delivery of a project.
• Meet construction budgets by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions; providing non-project annual operating budget information.
• Deliver projects by calculating resources required; allocating resources; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing change orders.
• Approve trade contractor applications for payment and conduct inspections at critical phases; verify compliance with contract documents; obtaining approvals from owners.
• Prevent fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Respond to requests for service and follow through on all punch list items.
• Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging construction practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Skills/Qualifications :

• Must have 5+ years experience as a Project Manager or Superintendent in a commercial construction setting.
• High School Diploma is required; College degree preferred, but not required.
• Must be willing to travel, to job locations in both Texas & Florida, occasionally for extended periods.
• OSHA certification / training a plus.
• Computer skills are required to maintain written communication with clients and co-workers; required to use MS Windows, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Project, and some Primavera Expedition.
